Letter from Julia Margaret Cameron to Sir John Herschel, dated 31 December 1864, discussing her aspirations as a photographer.
 Letter

of your health I hope once a fortnight until the severe weather is past shall your days free one from solicitude and causes of anxiety

I know well what Bronchitis attacks are I have had two or three such attacks every winter & early spring lately & yesterday is the first day I have been able to leave my room for a week.
In this climate the attacks are milder - but it requires for me to be quite prostate to submit to be a prisoner to my bed.

Yesterday I despatched for you & dear Lady Herschel one series of my Photographs which form I think now a theological work of some Interest
