Sir Cliff Richard; Mary Whitehouse
(b.1940, 1910-2001)

Pop singer and actor Richard came to pop prominence in the late 1950s with his hits Living Doll (1959), The Young Ones (1961) and Summer Holiday (1962). He is seen here lending support to Mary Whitehouse who established the National Viewers' and Listeners' Association and the 'Clean-up TV campaign' (1964).
