From October to December 2012 the National Portrait Gallery and Taylor Wessing worked in partnership to deliver a creative series of practical photography sessions to young people based at the Kids Company. The Young People explored practical photographic practice and created their own work related to themes in the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize exhibition. The aim of the project was to encourage young people to develop new skills and a greater understanding of contemporary photography and to respond creatively to the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize exhibition.
Images taken throughout the project by participants are displayed on the right.
