My dear Mr László
My wife came home from your studio full of wonder and admiration of your genius. She is simply delighted beyond words with the beautiful picture and begs me to tell you that she couldn't

half express her feelings to you.
And neither can I, dear Mr László. Let me thank you a thousand times for your most generous and beautiful gift.
Isn't it a pity the frame should be too wide? We shall

never know who of us, Mr. Rowley or I, made the mistake. I read the measurement to him out of my book, as you gave it: 20 ½ x 27 ¾ and the frame is 21 ½ wide.
Mr. Rowley is coming to your studio tomorrow morning

and I hope by the afternoon the frame will have been altered to the right measure.
I long to see the portrait in it.
Again a thousand thanks.
Ever yours
George Henschel
