Collectors' reproductions
The National Portrait Gallery offers reproductions for collectors, as a
specialist service. If you would like to own a fine print reproduction
of a work in the Gallery’s collections, please download the print order
form (Adobe Acrobat PDF format). This form
details a wide range of options for reproductions made to order through
our Rights and Images department.
For those with an interest in photographs, photographic heritage and
integrity of production, we recommend traditional hand-finished black
& white photographic prints produced by our specialist, with 40
years of experience in this craft.
For the reproduction of paintings, drawings and prints, we use
contemporary ‘giclée’ printmaking technology. The giclée process
delivers exceptional quality using archival inks with various types of
paper, including heavyweight fine art watercolour paper and photo-base
papers in a range of finishes.
Images are printed in their original proportions, within a white
border, to standard paper sizes. Please allow 28 days for manufacture
and delivery of collectors reproductions. We will contact you if we are
unable to fulfil your order due to copyright restrictions or other cost
or availability issues.
In addition to our specialist premium-quality service for collectors, standard prints are available through our online print-on-demand service.
Please note that the purchase of print reproductions does not include rights to copy or publish the images. The Gallery controls copyright carefully and welcomes applications for permission, via our Rights & Images department. Illicit copying is prohibited.
