Portrait Printer

Visitors to the National Portrait Gallery in London and our visitors online can choose from over 65,000 portraits from our collections and purchase beautifully rich and detailed digital prints using our Portrait Printer service.

4 types of print are available:

• A4 paper (satin finish) (297 x 210mm)
• A3 paper (satin finish) (420 x 297mm)
• A2 paper (satin finish) (594 x 420mm)
• A3 canvas (420 x 297mm)

Prices are:

• A4 paper - £6
• A3 paper - £12
• A2 paper - £20
• A3 canvas - £40

For Gallery visitors a simple touchscreen kiosk is located between the rows of postcards in the Gallery Shop. Potential customers can search by name of sitter or artist and view portraits available for purchase, or select an image from a period in British history, then place an order for prints that are then printed in minutes from our helpful Shop Assistants.

For our online visitors the process is just as easy. Use the Gallery’s Collections Search facility to similarly search by name of sitter or artist, and then having selected a portrait associated with the sitter or artist then click on the option to buy a print of this portrait from the Shopping panel on the right hand side of the page.

Orders are placed securely online using WorldPay and the Gallery will fulfil the order and send off your order the following day. Postage rates can be as little as £2.99 per order.

All Portrait Printer images are printed in original proportions, within a white border on an Epson 4000 Stylus Pro printer on Epson original papers and canvas and are supplied by the National Portrait Gallery Limited Company. All purchases support the Gallery.
