In celebration of the modern international dance music scene and the new publication dj's by lopez (published by AAPPL), this display brings together some of the most famous DJs from around the world, photographed by leading music photographer Chris Lopez.

The display includes twenty new portraits introducing a mix of international DJ genres such as techno, house, funk, R&B, garage, hip hop and commercial. Subjects include, Fat Boy Slim, Pete Tong, Danny Rampling, Carl Cox, Roger Sanchez, Lottie, Princess Julia, Lisa Lashes, Tim Deluxe and Josh Wink. Simple yet personal, Lopez's style captures the true character of his subjects away from the dance floor.

The concept for both the book and display originated when Lopez was approached by a management company to photograph twenty five top DJs. The project grew from there and this display represents just a small selection from an exciting four year venture.

Chris Lopez has been a professional photographer for the last ten years, working in the music industry for four years as in-house photographer for a major record label in London. He has photographed numerous album covers including the hugely successful Onka's Big Moka by the band Toploader (2000). This is Lopez's first publication and gallery display.

Following this display at the National Portrait Gallery, London, the show will tour around clubs and bars throughout the UK.
