A new display of the paintings and sculpture in the permanent collections from this recent period of our history looks at the Wilson and Thatcher years. Prominent figures from this exciting period include the Cold War Soviet spy John Vassall, the singer and style-setter Elton John and the impresario Lew Grade. Newly acquired representatives of the era include the peace campaigner Bruce Kent and T.H. White, author of The Once and Future King.
