The internationally acclaimed post-war American painter Alex Katz has a distinctive approach to painting the human face. Large scale, pared-down and cropped, his people are the epitome of New York cool. This display presents a group of his recent paintings, seen here for the first time, alongside One Flight Up (1968) a group portrait of the New York intelligentsia in aluminium cut-out form.
