A display of portraits of sitters wearing glasses made and selected by the internationally renowned Belgian painter Luc Tuymans. Since the 1970s Tuymans has been preoccupied with how we perceive people and things. His work, with its use of found images and photographs and its meditations on history and memory, makes the banal striking, in this case the everyday phenomenon of spectacles, which are now so ubiquitous as to go almost unnoticed.
