Take inspiration from Man Ray Portraits and direct a fashion studio shoot with a model, styling and lighting with fashion photographer Gisela Torres.
Your day will start with a guided tour of the exhibition Man Ray Portraits with Gisela who will highlight some of Man Ray’s most celebrated fashion photography. Then you will return to the studio to peek into the real world of a professional fashion shoot. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a fashion model, use a digital large-format 5x4 camera and experience taking photographs on a busy shoot. In small groups Gisela will introduce you to aspects of lighting – how to create mood and flatter the model, and then learn how to create beautiful, well-composed images inspired by some of Man Ray’s most stylish photography.
Suitable for all levels, materials are provided.
