To coincide with the ‘Beatles to Bowie: The 60s Exposed’ exhibition and its accompanying publication, cultural commentator Jon Savage charts the leading personalities that helped create the legend of ‘Swinging London’ in conversation with writer and critic Michael Bracewell and the exhibition’s curator Terence Pepper.


Jon Savage is the author of The Kinks: The Official Biography (1984), the award-winning England's Dreaming: The Sex Pistols and Punk Rock (1992) and co-edited The Faber Book of Pop (1995). Michael Bracewell also contributed to the Faber Book of Pop and writes on all facets of pop life. He is also a fiction writer. Terence Pepper is curator of photographs at the National Portrait Gallery.
