Curator Jan Marsh explores the life and loves of Janey Morris, whose striking features created the iconic image of the soulful Pre-Raphaelite woman.
To mark this week's centenary of her death and complement the display in Room 28 featuring Pre-Raphaelite model Janey Morris, her friends and lovers, this talk presents the paintings and drawings she inspired, by William Morris, Evelyn de Morgan, Dante Gabriel Rossetti and others.
Biographer Jan Marsh has written on both Jane Morris and Rossetti, and is author of The Pre-Raphaelite Circle (NPG Publications).
Seats for our lunchtime lectures are allocated on a first come, first served basis and are subject to availability.
