Join Adrian Woodhouse, Angus McBean's biographer, as he shares stories about the photographer's extensive portfolio and colourful life, including 8 years living in Acton in the London borough of Ealing.

Discover how McBean rose to fame in the mid-1930s by bringing a magic and glamour to British photography which made him favourite of stars and public alike for almost half a century. See how he iconised the world’s most beautiful women – and men -  so that the likes of Vivien Leigh, Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor never looked better. Learn the tricks by which he made his celebrated surreal images and get the real story behind his famous cover for the Beatles’ first LP.

Seats for our lunchtime lectures are allocated on a first come, first served basis and are subject to availability.

Doors open at 12.30pm
