Simon Armitage by Paul Wright, 2013
&copy Paul Wright

One of the most popular poets of his generation, Simon Armitage has described himself as a ‘kitchen sink writer’, with his unostentatious poetry ranging from office parties for the self-employed and motorway service stations to King Arthur. Join us for this introduction to Armitage’s life and poetry, moving from his beginnings as a probation officer to carving poetry into the South Pennine Way. Talk led by Dan Feeney.
