Largely dismissed by the art establishment in his own lifetime, Walter Sickert’s use of found news photographs, slide projections and painterly approach have, over the years, come to exert great influence and inspire some of arts most well-known names. Artists such as Alex Katz, Andy Warhol, Gerhard Richter, Peter Doig and Marlene Dumas, all owe a debt to Walter Sickert. Talk led by Peter Blundell.
