Born in Ceredigion, Wales, Finch began playing the harp at the age of six and joined the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain at the age of ten. She studied at the Purcell School and the Royal Academy of Music and Drama and in 2000 was appointed official harpist to Charles, Prince of Wales. Finch made her debut at Wigmore Hall, London in 2000 and has since performed internationally. Her recordings include collaboration with Welsh composer Karl Jenkins, Crossing the Stone (2003). Finch's performances in April include the opening concert of the Menuhin Competition 2008.

Photographed at Tredegar House, Newport when expecting her daughter Ana Gwen.

A graduate of the Swansea Institute, Maybin won Free Range 06 Photographer of the Year. Her portfolio The Tenby Document, shown at The Photographers Gallery, mirrors her interest in the relationship between mother and daughter.

Commissioned by AXA in association with the National Museum Wales and the National Portrait Gallery.
