Formula One racing driver. Born in Hertfordshire, Hamilton began his career racing go-karts and became the British Cadet Karting champion aged ten. Following ameeting with McLaren's CEO Ron Dennis, Hamilton was signed to the McLaren driver development program. He became the Formula Renault UK champion (2003), the European Formula 3 champion (2005) and GP2 champion (2006). He made his remarkable Formula 1 debut in 2007 scoring four wins and six pole positions in his first season. In January 2008 Hamilton signed a fiveyear contract with McLaren-Mercedes. His achievements in 2008 include winning Grands Prix in Australia, Monaco, Britain and Germany. Following the Hungarian Grand Prix on 3 August, Hamilton remains in pole position.

Photographed by Dario Mitidieri. Born in Italy, Mitidieri studied Photojournalism at the London College of Printing. His major photographic projects include the Tiananmen Square massacre, Street Children of Bombay and Mass Graves of Iraq. He was named Photographer of the Year - British Press Awards (1989) and won the W.Eugene Smith Award for Humanistic Photography.
