Television producer and writer, Davies was born in Swansea, Wales and studied at Worcester College, Oxford. Davies completed a director's course at the BBC and wrote and produced children's dramas, before scripting his innovative and highly acclaimed adult series Queer as Folk (1999). As executive producer and chief writer of the revival of Doctor Who (2005) Davies gained several awards and created the successful spin-off, Torchwood (2006). In May 2007 the Independent on Sunday 'Pink List' named Davies the most influential gay person in Britain. Davies has spoken publicly in recognition of the fortieth anniversary of the 1967 Sexual Offences Act and the 'decriminalisation of homosexuality' in England. .
Julie Fogarty was born in Ireland and graduated from the Documentary Photography course at the University of Wales, Newport in 2006. Her work has appeared in publications including contemporary photography magazine Source. Commissioned by AXA in association with the National Museum Wales and the National Portrait Gallery.
