British Pop artist and actress. Boty studied at Wimbledon College of Art and the Royal College of Art. Her work often considered issues of gender representation and sexual politics. Featured in Ken Russell's seminal documentary Pop Goes the Easel (1962), she appeared in the Michael Caine film Alfie (1966) as well as on stage and TV. Michael Ward worked for the Evening Standard and the Sunday Times. Boty is seen here with her painting Scandal 63 which refers to Lewis Morley's infamous photograph of Christine Keeler at the height of the John Profumo affair.
