Portrait Sculpture Workshop

This one day or two evening workshop on 3D portraiture will investigate ideas of form and positive and negative space in a range of media. Taking inspiration from the medieval sculptures of kings and queens to Marc Quinn’s Self and the work of John Gibbons, whose sculptures are currently on display in the Balcony Gallery. Led by artist Tanja Gangar.

Explore the images in Irving Penn Portraits and create a series of portraits focusing on dress, pose, body-parts and objects to express your interests and personality. Work with photography, text and image animation, culminating in a public screening. Led by artists Marianne Holm Hansen and photographer Tom Wichelow.
