Explore the life of Leigh Bowery, one of Freud’s most frequent sitters. He was a well known figure in the 1980s London club scene, running the infamous Taboo nightclub. He designed and wore outrageous costumes and performed alongside dancer Michael Clark. Bowery was also a musician in the band Minty and the soundtrack to the film is by band member Richard Torrey. The film includes interviews with Bella Freud, Damien Hirst, Boy George and Bowery’s widow Nicola Bowery.
The film is directed by pioneering video artist and film director Charles Atlas. It was the Winner of Best Documentary category at the 2003 Melbourne Queer Film Festival.
