Phillip Prodger, Head of Photographs, leads this tour of A Century of Photography, 1840-1940 which features works by internationally renowned makers such as Edward Weston, Frederick Evans, Cecil Beaton and Madame Yevonde. The display includes some of the Gallery’s great nineteenth century treasures – works by Julia Margaret Cameron, Lewis Carroll, Hill and Adamson, and many others. Also on display for the first time are the recently acquired album of photographs by the Swedish émigré photographer Oscar Rejlander.
