Polly Devlin, author of The Vogue Book of Fashion Photography, and Jaime Perlman, Creative Director of British Vogue, assess Bailey’s work in the context of Vogue’s use of photography in the 1960s and now.

Polly Devlin is a broadcaster and writer.  She has made an hour-long documentary, The Daisy Chain, and written seven books including The Vogue Book of Fashion Photography. Her first book, All of Us There, written in 1982 is re-published as a Modern Classic by Virago. She has received an OBE for services to literature. Photographs of the interiors of the houses she has lived in, in France, England and Ireland have appeared in numerous magazines and books. She is currently a Professor at Barnard College, Columbia University, New York.

Philadelphia - born Jaime Perlman began her career in the late ‘90s working in the art departments at US Harper's Bazaar and US Vogue in New York. In 2005 she moved to London to be Art Director at British Vogue and was later promoted to Creative Director in 2011. In 2009, she founded a pet project called TEST which featured up-and-coming fashion film-makers and photographers.
