Artist Zarina Bhimji presents Echo, an exploration of beauty, texture and pleasure experienced through looking at objects of art. The soundscape features a recording of the footsteps of visitors in an art gallery. The contact of feet against floorboards maps out the visitors' rhythms of thinking. The resulting sound and texture is an investigation of the ways in which privilege and beauty imprint themselves on culture. Bhimji works in the media of photography, film and installation. She was nominated for the Turner Prize in 2007.
