How to enter

There are three ways to register for the competition - online, by post and in person. Please follow one of the following procedures and read the delivery instructions for your photographs carefully.

Online or By Post
Register for the competition online between 4 May and 6 July 2009. You will then receive an email confirming your registration number. To register your entry by post you will need an entry form. These can be collected from the National Portrait Gallery directly or you can request one by sending a stamped addressed envelope to the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2009, National Portrait Gallery, St Martin's Place, London WC2H 0HE. Please complete and send the entry form along with the registration fee to the same address. You will then receive your registration number and delivery details by post.

Photographs must be delivered to the London College of Communication (address below) either in person or by post/courier between 13 and 24 July 2009. Online registration will ensure a quicker, more efficient, check-in when delivering photographs.

In Person
To register in person, take the completed entry form, registration fee and your photographs to London College of Communication (address below) between 13 and 17 July 2009. Photographs delivered in person will ONLY be accepted during this period.

Please do not send in your entries on any other dates and do not send anything direct to the National Portrait Gallery as works will not be accepted and returned to the shipper.

Further guidelines for the delivery/return of postal/courier entries will be provided once your entry has been received.

(09.00 - 17.00 hrs only)

Important - fees are non-refundable. All entries from outside the United Kingdom will only be accepted if registration fees are paid by credit card.

All entrants whose payment cannot be cashed will be disqualified.
