The Godfrey Argent Award

The winner of the Godfrey Argent Award receives £2,500. The prize is awarded to either the most outstanding black and white photograph or the best photographer aged twenty-five and under. The Award, in its final year, is named in honour of British photographer Godfrey Argent (1937-2006). The Gallery is very grateful to the Estate of Godfrey Argent for enabling us to include the prize in the exhibition.
