I have just recently joined/renewed my Membership and I am worried that I will not get a full year of benefits?

Member benefits will continue as usual until 29 June 2020, including free and unlimited entry to our current exhibitions Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize, Pre-Raphaelite Sisters as well as the forthcoming spring exhibitions David Hockney: Drawing from Life and Cecil Beaton’s Bright Young Things.  During the closure period, Gallery Membership will carry on with a varied and engaging programme of activity, which we hope will allow you to explore our Collection in new and interesting ways. Although the Gallery in St Martin’s Place will be closed, hundreds of portraits from the Collection will continue to be showcased at our partner organisations. During this period we will be offering three years Membership for the price of one, so that following your renewal in 2020 we will not ask you to renew again until 2023 when the Gallery will re-open.

If I’m not able to take advantage of the new benefits, can I suspend my current Membership until 2023?

Although the Gallery in St Martin’s Place will be temporarily closed from 29 June 2020, hundreds of portraits from the Collection will continue to be showcased at our partner organisations across the UK. Unfortunately, we cannot suspend Membership during this period, but we will be offering an extended Membership, for a period of three years for the price of one, which means that following your renewal in 2020 we will not ask you to renew again until 2023 when the Gallery will re-open.  As with your current membership, the revised scheme will include a range of fantastic opportunities to explore our Collection as well as exciting opportunities with our partner organisations.

I’m not able to take advantage of the new benefits, can I have a refund for the months I will not receive membership benefits?

If you joined or renewed between 1 July 2019 and 4 November 2019 and would like to discuss refunds, please contact the membership team on 020 7321 6283.

What are the other retail and restaurant partners as part of the new Membership benefits?

We are currently finalising a range of new benefits with retail and restaurant partners and will have an update on this in the coming weeks.

What are the partner organisations the Gallery is going to work with?

Can I use my Membership card to gain entry to the partner organisations?

The mode of entry for any benefits at partner organisations will be dependent on the organisation and their entry procedures but these will be clearly communicated in advance of any relevant exhibitions or events.

Can I use my guest pass in the partner organisations?

Where possible your guest pass will be accepted at partner organisations and this will be confirmed depending on what is possible for each of our partners. We will ensure you are well informed about any variations to guest passes.
