National and International Programmes
Throughout our Inspiring People project we will continue to deliver an exciting schedule of national and international programme activity.
This exciting project sees the Gallery sending portraits of iconic individuals to places they are closely associated with.
A National Skills & Knowledge Exchange Programme sees the Gallery work with staff at museums in Belfast, Nottingham, Plymouth and Sudbury, followed by a further eight other locations, to create a UK wide learning network involving collaborative displays, exchanges, mentoring, seminars and internships.
The Gallery is committed to making the national collection of British portraits available around the country through an active national programme of partnerships, events and loaned works.
Discover the history of Montacute House including opening times, admission costs and what's on. The House displays works from the Gallery’s 16th - 17th Century collection.
As part of our programme of activity to share the Collection while we are closed for our re-development project, a series of works are being displayed at the National Gallery.
