As a result of an exciting collaboration between the National Portrait Gallery, the National Trust and University of Bristol, a room of the Long Gallery will be the focus of a new exhibition this season, Pictured and seen. The display focuses on the relationship between objects and their representation in 16th and 17th century British portraiture. The Bristol University MA course option offered students the opportunity to work alongside the National Portrait Gallery and the National Trust on the interpretation accompanying the exhibition.
