The Kinks


Formed in 1963, by the Davies brothers in North London, The Kinks are known as one of the seminal bands of the Sixties, with hits including You Really Got Me, Sunny Afternoon and Waterloo Sunset making them a success at home and in America. Credited with influencing their musical contemporaries, including The Who, The Kinks' legacy is still recognised today for its long-lasting influence on Britpop bands such as Blur and Oasis.
