Poet and biographer. His Triumphs of Music (1804) was ridiculed by Byron. His Ballads on Animals (1805) were illustrated by his friend Blake. The patron of Romney and Flaxman, and the friend of Cowper and Southey who wrote of him, 'Everything about that man is good except his poetry'.
