'Mr Coke of Norfolk', MP for Norfolk, 1776-1832, and recognised as one of the major agricultural reformers of his time. He improved the breeds of cattle, sheep and pigs on his farms, and replaced crops of rye with wheat. He was created Earl of Leicester in 1837.
