I have recently learnt that George Richmond is my Great Great Great Grandfather.
Does anyone by any chance have any interesting information on George Richmond and family they would like to share with me?

I have handed over to Rochester Cathedral a painting by George Richmond of Josepth Cotton Wigram who was Bishop of Rochester from 1860 to 1867, when the portrait would have been painted. I think that it is probable that the painting has not been recorded.

George Richmond was a friend of the writer EM Forster's great-aunt Marianne Thornton (1787-1887) and several of his portraits are reproduced in Forster's 1956 biography of her (see details below)
