Sculptor and President of the Royal Academy (1956-66). Instrumental in founding the Society of Portrait Sculptors of which he became the first President in 1953. His public work includes commissions for Sir Herbert Baker's India House (1925), South Africa House (1930), Church House (1934) and the Trafalgar Square fountains (1939).
