Australian-born writer, broadcaster and critic. Greer travelled to England in 1964 to study English Literature at Cambridge University, earning a PhD in 1967. She lectured at the University of Warwick (1967-72) whilst working on The Female Eunuch (1970), her classic text. Her critically acclaimed books cover subjects such as women painters and writers, and include The Obstacle Race (1979), and Sex and Destiny (1984), Slip-Shod Sibyls (1995), The Whole Woman (1999), The Boy (2003) and Shakespeare's Wife (2007).
