Conrad Dressler

Conrad Dressler was a sculptor, potter and art worker. He was born in London, of German descent. Dressler studied at the Royal College of Art under Lantéri and Boehm and in France. He was a member of the Art Workers' Guild from 1891 until 1918. He set up a foundry in Chelsea and carried out cire-perdue casting; met William De Morgan, who fired some of his early works. Dressler worked as a potter in Birkenhead with Harold Rathbone from 1893 to 1895, then set up his own kiln with R.W. Hudson, and made tiles.
