Pamela Fudge nee Squibbs

As I explained previously A.S. Longdon was the name my great grandfather Abraham Squibbs used to sign his art and photographic work. Langdon was his mother's maiden name and Abraham often used it to acknowledge her support and encouragement to achieve his wish to become a professional artist and photographer. Abraham's father died when he was 13 years old and his mother became a young with who continued to run the family businesses. These were a furniture store and bakery. Abraham became involved in supporting his mother and learned to become a baker by the time he was 16.
I am currently in the final editing stage of a book about Abrahams. This follows publishing two volumes about my grandfather Harry Squibbs; one of Abraham's sons. These are:
- 'South West Wales Through the Lens of Harry Squibbs; Volume 1, South Cardiganshire'
- 'South West Wales Through the Lens of Harry Squibbs; Volume 2, Pembrokeshire'.
Both were published in 2014 by Amberley Publishing.

A. S. Langdon was my great grandfather Abraham Squibbs (1845 - 1912). He attended the Royal Academy in London from 1866 to 1871 and usually signed his art and photographic work using his mother's maiden name Langdon. Abraham came from Bridgwater in Somerset and was the first of four generations of artists and photographers.
