Sculptor. Brother of Constant Lambert. Apprentice to F Derwent Wood (1918-23). First one-man exhibition in 1929. In the 1930s his work was linked with the radical Modernist sculptors such as Hepworth and Moore who drew influence from primitive art and Surrealism. His portrait works include an equestrian statue of George V and in the National Portrait Gallery's collection busts or heads of Margot Fonteyn. Adrian Stokes, William Walton and J.B.Priestley,
