Moses Bowness

Bowness was born into a Coniston copper-miner's family. Initially working as a farm labourer, by 1861 he had established himself as a photographer. His business flourished, and by 1871 he employed six people to help him with the printing and hand colouring of his photographs.

Moses Bowness and Helena Hudleston are my great grandparents. I have a photo of Helena taken by Moses. I live in Brisbane Australia.
