Edward Goodwyn Lewis has 3 paintings at Ballarat Art Gallery. The largest is of the Ballarat Art Gallery director. I have submitted around 100 A4,typed letters to the gallery which were transcribed from the original letters my grandmother obtained from a cousin (he was my great, great, great grandfather). He had a fascination with electricity and he and the Ballarat Art Director were friends and tried against opposition to install it into the Gallery. There is a lot of personal information on wiki tree about him and a photo of him. The letters were from Edward to his brother in Bacchus Marsh (near Ballarat). A family member has a portrait of Edward’s wife.

I have acquired a sketch purportedly by Edward Goodwyn Lewis of John Stuart Mill. It looks like it’s his work.

This artist painted a 5ft by 6ft portrait of Mr T Parker which was displayed at Wolverhampton art gallery in 1890.The portrait depicted Mr Parker and electrical equipment made in Wolverhampton.
The portrait was for a Mr James Odie of Ballarat Australia.
Evidence of the picture can be seen on Ecc Wolverhampton website and on website related to Mr Parker and his early work at Ironbridge.
