Guitarist and songwriter. Born in North London, Kemp was obsessed with song writing from a young age and was given a guitar for his eleventh birthday. In 1976 he and four school friends formed the Cut which would evolve into Spandau Ballet and become a leading New Romantic band of the 1980s. Gary's brother Martin Kemp also joined the band as it's bass player. The band reformed in 2009 and Kemp has also pursued a solo career, releasing his debut album in 1995, and has acted in films and on stage.
