Television presenter. Daughter of an Italian marquis, and formerly a Vogue fashion model, Katie Boyle was a familiar figure on television and radio from the 1950s, but probably became best known as the multi-lingual presenter of many Eurovision Song Contests. She had her own programme, Katie and Friends on BBC Radio Two and for 19 years was the TV Times agony aunt. Well-known for her interest in animal charities, she was a committee member of the Battersea Dogs Home for over 20 years.

I have it on authority from my 93 year old Aunt Miss. Joan Minnitt, that Katie Boyle was in her class at "Apsley House School," Aldwick, Sussex, in 1931. and known then as Caterina. The school was situated opposite "Craigwell House." My Aunt was then a school girl living at North Bersted, Sussex. Online information from other sources stating Katie Boyle arrived in the UK. in 1946. are incorrect. At a U.K. school well before in 1931.
