The youngest of the four children of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward became interested in drama while studying at Cambridge and resigned from the Royal Marines (1987) in order to work professionally in the theatre. He has written and narrated features for television and, as a Trustee, is actively involved in The Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme for young people.
