Edinburgh-born singer-songwriter and musician Kate Victoria Tunstall achieved international success with her debut album Eye to the Telescope (2004) which was nominated for the 2005 Mercury Music Prize. Successive albums were Drastic Fantastic (2007) and Tiger Suit (2010). Tunstall won a BRIT Award for Best British Female Solo Artist (2006) and an Ivor Novello Award (2006) for her songwriting. Tunstall joined the 2008 Cape Farewell expedition to Greenland aiming to change cultural attitudes towards climate change.
