Actor Bill Nighy studied at the Guildford School of Dance and Drama. His distinguished stage work includes David Hare's Pravda (1985), King Lear (1986) and Tom Stoppard's Arcadia (1993), all at the National Theatre. His television appearance in the series The Men's Room (1991) led to supporting actor roles in the films Still Crazy (1998), I Capture the Castle (2003) and Enduring Love (2004). Nighy is best known for his Bafta-winning roles in Richard Curtis's film Love Actually (2003) and Paul Abbott's television drama State of Play (2003).
