John Smith Clarke was my Great Great Uncle, the brother if my Great Grandmother Gertrude Smith Clarke Levy. Her daughter, Esther Sarah Levy Solomons was my dear Grandmother. My Hebrew name Gittel (Gertrude) is in honor of Gertrude Smith Clarke Levy.

John Smith Clarke was my Great Uncle. He was my Great Grandmothers (Gertrude Levy nee Clarke) Brother. He invited my grandfather, his nephew, to tea at the Houses of Parliament. He also cured Lenin's dog of an ailment.

John Smith Clarke is a 3rd cousin to me. He was my grandad's first cousin. His mother, Sarah Chiswell was originally from Somerset (Bishop Sutton) and his father John Clarke from Bath. They moved north in mid-1800s (Chesterfield, Sheffield) snd then further north to Northumberland later with their children.
