Served in WW2 as a bomber pilot at RAF Pockington. Was involved in a aircraft that landed and another one then hit it when landing.. he was OK but there was one fatality and several injured.
Became Group Captain and was station Commander in Hong Kong after it had been regained from the Japanese.
I see that he went on to become Air Vice Marshall. He died in 1981..his grave is in Midhurst.
My dad Eric Victor Sanders was his valet ( a member of the RAF Regiment too ) in Hong Kong...in 1945-46
