The parents of Major General Sir William Louis Oberkirch Twiss are
Revd William Christopher Twiss born abt 1801 Cambridge and the long-time vicar of Wrestlingworth, Biggleswade, Beds and Mary von Oberkirch a German I believe came from Ratisbon, Bavaria. They were married 24 Oct 1876 in Paris. The rest about Sir William is correct.
The Revd William Christopher Twiss had been married previously to Rebecca Collins Cory, a widow born abt 1801 Thriplow, Cambridgeshire married 21 Jul 1829 Thriplow but she died in 1876 without issue and very shortly after her death Revd William went on to marry Mary von Oberkirch
