Robin Guild

Robin Guild was a design consultant who ran a number of London-based companies and shops. In his twenties he opened Interiors, a design showroom in Hampstead, London and co-founded with his wife Patricia Kaye the Designers Guild interior design company in the early 1970s on the site of his mother's antiques shop on the King's Road. Later ventures included Gnomes for designer garden gnomes, Homeworks and Indiaworks that morphed into the Oriental Furnishing Company. Notable designs for clients included a Rolls Royce interior for Mick Jagger and interiors for Road Dahl in Great Missenden and for Trevor Nunn. In 1989 he published The Complete Victorian House Book.

I recently found this wonderful photo of your father online. I used to work for Robin in the 1960s at Interiors. I’ve lived in Australia since 1968. Are you able to tell me how he died?
